I'm seriously looking into going with HP the next time I upgrade my
CallManager servers. Currently, all our CallManager, Unity, and
MobilityManager servers are Cisco branded MCS servers.

Subject: [cisco-voip] cisco vs manufacturer hardware
Just wondering how many people are sticking with Cisco branded MCS
servers rather than going with the OEM boxes? We've established a great
relationship with HP and they're onsite faster than I can put the phone
down sometimes. What experiences have others seen with OEM boxes? Does
the TAC quickly point at hardware as the problem?
The cost difference between Cisco vs OEM hardware is quite substantial
and were getting around to having to replace a large number of boxes
relatively soon (thanks to IPCC v3.5) and it's getting a bit difficult
to justify the cost difference, when I can't see it myself.
