[cisco-voip] terminology

Well.. in general terms DCS is typically another way of referring to a full
or sub rate point to point T1, and sometimes even a full rate single channel
(56/64 kbps) PtP circuit. Obviously what you are concerned with is the type
of equipment/service Verizon will be plugging the CO end into.

I have come across Verizon using the DCS term to refer to CAS voice service.
This was in California, and I understand Verizon West may use slightly
different terminology than in other regions.

Subject: [cisco-voip] terminology

Can someone help me with some terminology. Verizon can not get me a PRI
circuit in a town I'm looking at putting VoIP in. But they can get me a
Digital Channel Service. Is this a CAS t1?

TIA

Scott
