[cisco-voip] H.323 gateway & MTP

Hi

 

I'm wondering if anyone can help me understand when a H.323 gateway in
Call Manager needs to have the Media Termination Point Required box
checked.  My understanding was that an MTP was really only needed for
devices that didn't support H.323 v2 empty capabilities set and, more
recently for SIP internetworking.  Are there other common scenarios
where this would need to be used?
