A quick check indicates that a 63 character menu name works, however a
64 character name does not. Not sure how scientific that is, but that's
what just made it break for me.

Subject: [cisco-voip] IP phone XML limitations
I'm seeking information on the limitations of the IP phone's
(7905/7940/7960) XML limitations.
I'm working on a service that is menu based and the XML includes
CiscoIPPhoneMenu objects that embed CR/LF to form three separate lines.
For
the most part this works but sometimes the menu screen comes up
completely
blank on the phone, and I suspect I am hitting a character limit because
in
those cases the <Name> fields are quite long. The XML validates
ok/displays
on my web browser but the phone is not displaying it.
Does anyone have information on the maximum number of characters in each
MenuItem/Name field for CiscoIPPhoneMenu objects? Or any idea of what
else
this may be.
Bill
