[cisco-voip] unity nic teaming

Make sure that the Windows 2k "Network Load Balancing" option doesn't
get checked. I had a problem with that (not on a Unity machine)
previously and the symptoms were similar. This would be the Microsoft
Network Load Balancing option, not whatever came with your NIC drivers.

Subject: [cisco-voip] unity nic teaming

Hello,

Ran into a problem enabling NIC teaming on a Unity box last night. box
is a Proliant DL580 G3 running Unity 4.0.5 and windows 2K. After
stopping apps and running the HP NIC teaming wizard, it appears that I
lost connection to the AD in order to utilize the domain accounts to
logon to start MSSQLSERVER. As such, all the dependencies failed and SQL
and Unity failed to start. I can ping and browse through the network at
the time but it doesn't seem that I can get DNS services and of course
AD. I changed the IP info to the virtual NIC from the NIC that was
active before teaming.

I dissolved the teaming and everything went back to normal. Want to try
again tonite, anyone have any information they can share as to what I
may be doing incorrectly?
