The CSS of the phone at the remote site will contain the partition of
the appropriate Route Patterns. The Route Patterns will point to the
Route List. You can add the Route Groups that contain the HQ Gateways
to the Route List. The phones at the remote site will now be able to
use the HQ Gateway in the event of failure or unavailable channels on
the local Gateway without having to change the CSS.
You might also need to set the appropriate called and calling party
transformation masks on the Route List for the Route Group pointing to
the HQ Gateway. For example, if I dial a local 7 digit number out my
local Gateway but now the call is going out the HQ Gateway the called
number might need to change to a long distance number.
