assist with this endeavor.  This is a Temp to Perm opportunity which would
be located in our Pasadena, CA office or Fairfax, VA headquarters.

Senior Network/Telecom/VOIP Engineer:

Duties:  

Develop, design telecommunications infrastructure with VoIP technologies to
support existing and new requirements, sustaining engineering support for
telephone systems, transition of services from old to new systems.  Perform
site surveys, define requirements, evaluate and recommend telephony
upgrades, and deploy Voice over IP systems.  Project Management including
business case development, budget estimates, develop presentations to
customers.  This is a hands-on, Senior Network Engineer position that
focuses on VoIP access. The successful candidate will have in depth
expertise in VoIP protocols (SIP, RTP, TFTP and related Protocols) and their
performance from the edge thru the core of the network. The Senior Network
Engineer will have responsibilities including but not limited to: Support
VoIP planning and testing as well as troubleshoot VoIP problems in a
state-of-the-art access network lab as well as in production environments.
Customer interface and excellent verbal and writing skills. 

 

Education and Experience Requirement:

Bachelor's degree (preferably in EE) and minimum of 5 years experience in
Telephone services engineering, operations, and management.   Knowledge and
experience of PABX, Centrex, and   Voice over IP is required.  Experience
working with telephone service carriers, and T1, T3, and Gigabit ethernet
technologies.  Network switches, routers, and VoIP systems. Project
Management and deployment of major telephone systems experience is required.
