[cisco-voip] CME and doorbells??

Thanks for your input. You will probably see the more resent posts I've
left. I'm not dealing with a doorbell hardware issue. My first goal is
to get dial tone to my test analog phone on the same port that the
doorbell would like to connect to. By they way, in normal configuration
for a doorbell I would do a "connection plar". In the "connection plar"
case I would not expect dial tone................... For testing I
removed the PLAR statement and reset the voice port. Dead air I
found!!!!

Thanks,

Jason Wydra

Hello

You may try 2N Entrycom . This site is in Czech language, but maybe
you'll find something in English :

You can use this door communicator as an analog phone ( connected to FXS
port ) , and even if you want to open a gate you may call from entrycom
on the cell phone and open the gate from the cell phone :-)

Greetings

Marcin

Has anyone ever successfully hooked up a doorbell via RJ11 to an FXS
port on a 2811 with CME? They want it so that if someone rings the
doorbell it will ring all of the phone and they will have two way
conversations with the person outside.

Thanks,

Jason Wydra
