BARS works directly to tape. We used to use that and have since gone to
just using a network share (as you do now). No additional software needed.
The Cisco OS must come with drivers.

Subject: [cisco-voip] Tape backup drive

I'm curious, does anyone use the DAT drive from cisco (HP) on the 7835/7845
platform and what software do you use with it? My backups here locally are
to a network share and work out easy enough, but now I have a remote campus
that will need a backup solution for its CCM cluster... they dont have any
centralized backup solution and backingup over the WAN may not be an option.

Does BARS work with the DAT drive or do I need a third party app like backup
exec to make it work?

Thanks!
