The primary cause of this problem is the phones 3 port Ethernet switch
was software based on these models. The 7912G-A converted to a hardware
based switch like the 7940G and 7960G. I don't know the answer on the
7911G, but I would assume Cisco wouldn't make this mistake again.

Subject: [cisco-voip] 7912/05/02 issue..

All,
I was wondering about a specific problem I saw.

Voice quality deteriorates in 7912, 7902 and 7905 IP phones whenever
there is heavy traffic on the switch.

This was noted on a TAC Case:

Since the 7911 has more memory and features, is it the answer to this
issue?

Anyone have a thought on this?

Tks,
Jim
