IP Communicator should be on your Data networks so just use a ACL. Am I
missing something?

Subject: [cisco-voip] Preventing different types of devices to connect
fromspecific networks

Does anyone have any idea on how to prevent different types of devices
from registering to CallManager from a specific network?

For example, I'd like to open up a network to allow a hardware phone but
not IP Communicator.
