I hope the Berbee product has evolved quite a bit over that past few
years. We installed 2 customers with it in 2003/4 and removed it on
both occasions. Echoing effects, pages missing phones and paging phones
while people were talking on them were a little more than the customers
could handle. You could literally send a page and walk down the hallway
and follow the page playing out on the phones. I referred to it as the
"wave page machine!".
We have had excellent luck with the IPcelerate product for paging.

We use berbee and it is rock solid. Good solution for paging.
I would love to say go with 5.0 but there are not very many people
currently on the list using it and with out some more support (from this
list), it's hard to say go for it.

PS. Wes or Ryan.... do you guys have an opinion?

A good place to start is Golden Bridge for version
compatibility. It's not the god written rule or the
compatibilty matrix but it's a good starting point.
IMPO CM5 is not there yet... some may disagree and I
won't arm wrestle them for thier opinion but I won't
be rolling it out to any of my customers anytime soon
unless they flat out demand it.
Berbee's Informacast makes a pretty solid paging
solutions.
