[cisco-voip] question about transcoding

Transcoding is for applications that can't run both codec's. For
instance. My remote sites all run G729 and my central site runs G711.
Unity and Ip to IP calls work fine because they natively support both
G729 and G711. But IPCCx only supports G711. Therefore I have to setup
a transcode resource at the central site to transcode the G729 to G711
before the call can be taken by IPCCx.

Hope that makes sense.

Scott

Make s
Make sure you have consistency in the codec which you use for Unity
prompts
and message recording and unity region codec to other remote sites
,It is
prefferred that all this should be same.
