Yeah, that's correct. Changing the CPtone to anything other than US
breaks several things. If not set to US it usually breaks callerID as
well.

Subject: [cisco-voip] VG224 - CPTONES GB

Hi,
   I am having problems with a VG224 and MWI. If a message is left the
user should get a stutter tone, instead they get no tone at all. This
does not affect the functionality of the phone, everything works....just
no dialtone. CPtone is currently set to GB, the problem goes away if the
the cptone is set to US. Being in the UK we don't want US cptones we
want GB ones.

The problems must lie with the definition of the GB tones.

debug voip dspapi gives this:

*Mar  1 00:04:21.447:
//8/B77019B3801B/DSPAPI/[0/1:1]/dsp_inband_tone_on:
    Tone ID=0, Direction=1, Num frequencies=0
    Frequency(hz): a=0 b=0, Amplitude(dB): a=0.0 b=0.0
    Cadence1(ms): ON=0 OFF=0
    Cadence2(ms): ON=0 OFF=0
    Cadence3(ms): ON=0 OFF=0
    Cadence4(ms): ON=0 OFF=0
    Frequency(hz): a2=0 b2=0 a3=0 b3=0 a4=0 b4=0
    ITO option group: 1
*Mar  1 00:04:21.447:
//8/B77019B3801B/DSPAPI/[0/1:1]/dsp_inband_tone_on:
    Invalid CP Tone parameters - frequency is zero Cadence1 ON time is
zero

IOS is currently vg224-i6s-mz.124-6.XE2.bin but have tried about 10
different IOS's from 12.2 upwards, no difference.

Any ideas?

thanks
Dan
