[cisco-voip] Synchronizing Call Manager and Call Manager Express

You would configure telephony-service as normally with CME and would not
use the command call-manager-fallback. Then underneath
telephony-service, there are several SRST commands that you would need
to enter.

 srst mode auto-provision <all>

 srst ephone template 1

srst ephone description CCME-SRST MODE :

 srst dn template 1

 srst dn line-mode dual

Those highlighted in red are optional, and blue is required. Here is a
good link with information on it.

In CIPTUG this year, the CME BU stated that the two are interchangeable.
If you buy the license for one, you are able to use fallback for either.
The key was that CME was only used for fallback and not full time use.

As I understand it, the SRST license is inferior to the CME license
(cheaper). So, you would get just CME licenses and then trunk back to
CCM.

Do we have to pay for both an SRST and CME licence here?
