[cisco-voip] Trying to upgrade to CCM5..

The key is the harddisks configuration. Check the requirements for a HP DL380G (if it has a dual processor or not). I had a similar issue with Unity Connection...
Should plug the second CPU back after install - if you do that you need again 6 harddisks....
Cheers,

Don't get me wrong, I am pretty sure it will work...
But...
Will it die when I plug the second CPU back in after install? I mean, why not have two CPUs....?

Scott,
You hit the nail on the head. As long at the server meets all other requirements they can pull the extra CPU & the install should complete.

It is entirely possible.
They originally bought this thing two years ago and threw the other processor in when they upgraded to 4.1 (I think it was one of their admin power nerds thinking more cpu=better).
Let me try yanking the second CPU and power module and see what happens... I am going back there Weds....

I have a customer, they have an DL380 G3, that he wants to upgrade to CCM5... (he currently is running 4.1(3))
The box has 2GB of RAM, dual 2.4Ghz Xeons and two 72GB U320 Hard drives...
Keep getting an error after the media check that there are not enough hard drives... (2 of 4 found)
Using a CCM5.0(4) DVD...
Is this hardware configuration supported?
Jonathan
