[cisco-voip] Postage machine

The best thing I can say about "modem" type devices that I find is to
use fax and or modem passthrough. And if the devices plugs into a FXS
port, turn off echo cancel, VAD, and verify G.711 codec is used,
although the passthrough protocol should do this for you.

Not a postage machine, but I have gotten a time clock to work on a FXS
port. These types of devices should be thought of as modems, and ATAs
don't support modems.

Anyone ever have the opportunity to get a postage machine
working through a FXS port or ATA? If so any "magic" that you can share
with me?

	Thanks.
