it is possible but consider -
your callmanager is performing real time call processing making sure you 
get dialtone in milliseconds.  That is not the appropriate platform for 
an archival system.

In CCMAdmin under service parameters for Cisco Database Layer Monitor 
you can configure the maximum number of records.  Increasing this number 
will consume more disk space and cause SQL server to consume more 
processing time.  This directly impacts the size of your backup, length 
of time to backup, length of time for CAR to generate reports.  It will 
also increase the amount of time necessary for your nightly database 
maintenance tasks (that rebuild indexes).  All of this is not a problem 
on an underutilized 7845, but a 7815 standing on it's last leg will 
begin to suffer.

CAR also has database purge parameters.  If you increase the DBLM 
service parameter, increase CAR as well.
