I don't think he was talking about ringtones,

I think he was referring to dial tone.

I don't know of a way to change it, maybe its a wav file that can be swapped out? How does the other customer have his changed?

     No you cannot config a ring tone in CM. You need to  create it and then import it into CM. On the Cisco site there is a  document on how to do this. Please be aware, that this ring type will be  available to all phones in your system.

 Dear All,
 
 I was wondering if the tone heard from IP Phone can be configured in  CallManager?
 'Cuz one of my customer complained that the IP Phones they are using which  are registered to different CallManagers present different tone when off-hook. I  read the CCM admin guide but didn't find anything about this, only the locale  might affect the tone. Does anyone have idea how to fix it? Any comment would be  grateful. Thanks a lot~
