Would this not also modify the volume of the voices themselves?

Callmanager is simply gong to tell the gateway to play a tone.
what is your output attenuation on your gateway set to? this is the only thing I am aware of that would modify the loudness of the tone.

  CallManager 4.0(2a)sr2c

I got strange one here. One of my users complained that when he calls our main number and asks to be transferred to another employee, he hears two or three beeps when the receptionist transfers his call. The problem isn't the beeps itself, but the loudness of the beeps. I was able to duplicate this issue on my phones, but on my lab phones, it does not do that.

Does anyone know where to find this "beep" setting when callers are transferred?

  Thanks in advance.
