Yup, it is the same "trick" you use to get multicast MOH from the
flash of a router at a wan-connected site. CM tells the phone what
multicast source to listen to. The phone doesn't care what the
originator of the source is.

Trick how?
I guess you could specify a Multicast source and use a PC to stream
to the address...

CallManager will let you configure up to 50 MoH audio sources plus 1
fixed audio source. So you could easily have 15 different ones for
your different device pools - as long as they are pre-recorded I
suppose.
You can get around those constraints by using multicast and kinda
tricking callmanager a little.

We currently only have one Music on hold audio source for our call
manager cluster which every device pool is using.
We have been asked to find out if it is possible to have a different
music on hold audio source for every device pool of which we
currently have 15.
Has anyone else had this running and is there a limit on how many you
can have?
