Peter,
No, CME does not allow codec changes on the local CME attached phones.
BUT with SIP now native on CME, that may provide some options!

I am running 12.4(3b) Advanced IP Services IOS. I am running G.729 H.323
accross the WAN to another CME 3725 running the same setup. Both have
local transcoding and MTP DSP resources. Can the phone CODEC be selected
for local CME 3.3 phones?
