[cisco-voip] 7914 with 7970

I remember a notice whereby you had to upgrade the 7914 before you could attach it to the latest firmware version on the 7960. What we had to do was downgrade a phone, attach the 7914, upgrade the 7914, then upgrade the phone back to the latest firmware.

Bit of a drag. I'm pretty sure we had solid reds.

  Subject: [cisco-voip] 7914 with 7970

  Hello all-

I just got our agency's first 7914 and I'm trying to attack it to a 7970.

Physically it is all setup. It powers up and I can configure the 7970 but the buttons on the 7914 are all solid red.

  All documentation I find says:

Buttons on the first Expansion Module 7914 are all red.

  Then

Verify with your system administrator that your Expansion Module 7914 is defined in Cisco CallManager.

In CM on the 7970 I have assigned the 7914 as the first module. How else do I define it in CM? Any help would be great.

  TIA

  Scott
