I've got your point. Thanks for sharing.

But I've tried to swap the wires in the pair -- and
that didn't helped (if this means polarity).

Petya.

MAR> The only time I've seen something similar to this was when we had
MAR> polarity issues on our analog lines. Our pairs were swapped somehow
MAR> even though it was functioning perfectly fine for the first 3-4 months
MAR> of deployment, it suddenly started behaving as you describe below. Only
MAR> difference was that I was using a 4FXS/DID card for inbound calls vs.
MAR> the FXO card.

MAR> uponphone pick-up

MAR> Hello.

MAR> I'm experiencing problems with answering incoming calls received to
MAR> Cisco 1760 with VIC2-4FXO.

MAR> The error script is:
MAR> - someone calls to the office
MAR> - user picks up the phone (IP Phone 7905G)
MAR> - there's a little period of time (maybe half of a second) when user
MAR> hears the calling side
MAR> - IP phone goes on-hook (without user putting the receiver to the base)
MAR> - calling side hears busy tone

MAR> I'm not sure but this may depend of ephone-hunt groups, because if I
MAR> pick-up the first phone in the hunt group then line disconnects (almost
MAR> always but not always), if I pick-up the second phone in the hunt group
MAR> the line stays (almost always but not always)!

MAR> Here is the output of "show voice trace" when picking up the 1st phone
MAR> in the hunt group:

MAR> 2/1 State Transitions: timestamp (state, event) -> (state, event) ...
MAR> 194615.790 (FXOLS_RINGING, E_DSP_SIG_0100) ->

MAR> Here is the output of "show voice trace" when picking up the 2nd phone
MAR> in the hunt group (talked 2 seconds):

MAR> 2/1 State Transitions: timestamp (state, event) -> (state, event) ...

MAR> Another thing I'd like to specify: I had a talk with provider day before
MAR> yesterday and they admitted that they had changed the configuration and
MAR> there might be something wrong with the new one. Since then they have
MAR> been trying to figure out what's wrong but there are no results still.

MAR> Can anyone give me some shortcut, some keywords to read about or just
MAR> explain me what's happening?

MAR> Regards,
MAR> Petya.
