Since you guys are on th topic, do you have any links that specifically
talk about configuring DSP resources on the router and then adding them
to call mgr as CFB, Transcoding and MTP resources.

Sounds like you are choosing the option to add a "Cisco Conference
Bridge Hardware" (used for 6608).  For an IOS router you will need to
select "Cisco IOS Conference Bridge".  The same goes for MTP.  This
will allow you to add the CFB or MTP by using the name (CFB<mac
address>) instead of the MAC Address.
