Hello boys&girls,
from CCM 4.1 there is an option under device configuration to restrict
access to settings, with 3 different modes. Help describes them as follows:
-------- *Settings Access :* Indicates whether the Settings button on the
phone is functional. When Settings Access is enabled, you can change the
phone network configuration, ring type, and volume on the phone. When
Settings Access is disabled, the Settings button is completely disabled; no
options appear when you press the button. Also, you cannot adjust the ringer
volume or save any volume settings. When Settings Access is restricted, you
can only access User Preferences and volume settings. By default, Settings
Access is enabled. ------------------------------
The problem is, has anyone seen the 'Restricted' mode to work on an 7940/60
? If works fine on other phones we use, but 7940/60 don't seem to realize
the difference between 'Disabled' and 'Restricted.' This is with
CCM4.1.2sr1and tested with a few different firmwares, including the
latest
7.2.4.
Couldn't find anything in the bug toolkit either.
Cheers,
ML
