[cisco-voip] High volume on all IP Phone calls out of blue

Anyone ever seen this before, where one day the phone
calls work fine and out of the blue all the phones at
one site only have really loud volume when at 50%
volume level (default or so). So loud users had to
hold the headset away from their head. This is on all
IP phone to IP phone calls at same site and external
calls. All model phones (7910, 7912, 7940/60s).
Resetting the phones cleared the problem. Other sites
using same call manager servers did not have this problem.
