Hi Don,

*Equation 1:* Recommended Bandwidth Needed for Control Traffic without
Signaling Encryption.

Bandwidth (bps) = 265 * (Number of IP phones and gateways in the branch)
Plus you need to plan for your RTP streams (audio).. but this depends on
alot of things like where those phones are going to be talking to, what
codec you are using, etc - so theres not just 1 formula.

There are also other things to consider besides just the bandwidth.. example
latency for the control traffic, packet loss/latency/jitter for the RTP
traffic. The SRND documents are a good starting place.
