[cisco-voip] 1760 not recognizing VICs

Sorry, my mistake slots 0 & 1 will take voice or data cards 2 & 3 only
take voice interface cards.

If I remember right, and it's been a while since I worked on those,
slots 2 & 3 only supported voice cards. I can remember having to use
slot 0 for a T1 wic.

Also ensure your voice interface cards are installed in slots 0 or 1 as
slots 2 & 3 will not take a voice card on a 1760.

I agree with Ted.

Upgrade the IOS and Install a PVDM into that router.

The link I sent to that doc had PVDM info in it.

Probably a PVDM-256K-8 would do it just fine for what you have.

You may want to install a larger one if your planning on doing other
things with that 1760.

Rich

Well you're running 12.2 mainline and this VIC is not
supported in any of the 12.2 mainline releases (at
least according the the attached doc). If it were me
I'd probably upgrade to 12.3 or at least
(c1700-sv3y-mz.122-15.T17.bin) you have enough
flash/DRAM to support this image. However, I can
assure you that you that the VIC will not be
recognized unless you install a PVDM.
