All,
I was wondering if anyone could share their experiences with the Metreos
SCCP-Proxy appliance that Cisco is in the process of / or has acquired.
We currently handle all of our remote Teleworkers via Cisco 871/877
routers and DMVPN. It looks as if this product will allow us to
continue forward with the same type of support for voice (internal
calling, unified messaging, etc.) without the need for the VPN piece.
Additionally, I am presume that we could also then provide QoS at a more
finite level per call (at the headend) since we are pulling all VoIP
streams out of the giant IPSec tunnel. Any input on real world
functionality and price point would be appreciated.
Sincerely,
