[cisco-voip] IP Communicator and MAC Addresses.

I did something different, I just manually set the IP address on the
device to that of the LAN card, and it works with the Same mac all the
time..

I've been successful with manually installing the "Microsoft Loopback
Adapter". Name it Softphone in the Network Connections control panel.
Set it to an unused ip address. Then set the last part of the MAC to
something similar to the extension.
