[cisco-voip] For those needing a laugh...

That's a very interesting point you make, because when I'm in the room with traditional TDM folk, they are quite surprised with the way Cisco has implemented their telephony solution as well. "What? I can't forward my non-primary lines?" (...that's more for Scott Voll's amusement than anything...)
Can you imagine if a TDM person was in the room when Microsoft presented?!?!?! ;)

Yes I also saw a demo and if a fraction of it works as
expected (which it didn't in the demo) then it might
be an interesting addition for a M$ only shop. However
the dumbass gave the presentation with 2 of our Cisco
SEs in the room that immediately tore into him about
the "features" offered. I honestly thought the M$ rep
was going to run out of the room crying because he
couldn't answer ANY of the questions on voice. He
couldn't even confirm if the signaling was M$
proprietary, SIP or H323. At any rate, M$ does not
have the best track record for stability nor Voice
services in the past so it will be a long time before
they touch any of Cisco's market share with this new
novelty. The flip to that is Cisco is not making any
friends with the new CM licensing even if it is a
"wash" when it comes to $.
