That's way too fancy for me to understand.  We recently substituted a 3560 
for a failed 3750 that TAC said they couldn't replace for a couple of weeks, 
changed the port addressing from the 3750 to be compatible with the 3560, 
and it worked flawlessly.  Here's a typical port configuration:

interface FastEthernet0/18
 description EM Lab 143, Patch 39
 switchport access vlan 101
 switchport mode access
 switchport voice vlan 102
 spanning-tree portfast
