I've used them before on a VG248. The major problem was their digit
timing. They were pulsing in digits about 20msec faster (or something
similar) than what the VG248 would recognize. The vendor was called in,
reprogrammed the terminals, and everything was fine.

What type of gateway and signalling protocol? It is not supported on
ATA devices, so I used a 2801. My PRI lines are on an MGCP gateway, so
I setup the 2801 with MGCP as well. I added:
mgcp modem passthrough voip mode nse
I don't know if it really was needed or not, but I added it in before
testing the telecheck machines and they worked fine. The TeleCheck
machines validate checks and credit cards. So if they worked for me,
they should work for you ;)

I am having some funny problems getting a credit card machine
working. It is plugged into a FXS port on a voice gateway. Is their
any special configuration parameters required?
