Check your MGCP settings. "show ccm-manager" and see if it's a "graceful"
failover. If it's not graceful, this could explain your problem.

Subject: [cisco-voip] Voice calls dropped with a 2811 but not a 2651XM
whencomms lost to CCM

Seeing issues with a 2811 where voice calls are dropped when the router is
bringing up a backup ISDN circuit following loss of comms to the Call
Manager servers.

We've not seen the same issue on the 2651XM's we've deployed previously.
With this model, calls would stay up even when comms was lost. Obviously,
new calls can't be started until comms is re-established.

The 2651XM is configured with an AIM-Voice30, where the 2811 is relying only
on PVDM's.

In both cases, the telco circuit is connected to a VWIC-1MFT-E1. Both
routers are setup as MGCP gateways.

Is this an issue with the PVDM only routers? I was under the impression
that I should never loose a call in progress, only not be able to make new
calls when the link to the CCM's is down.

Any info on this would be great.

TIA
