Translation patterns will work as well. Seems like there is always more
then one way to skin a cat.

Use a Translation pattern to shorten. I get 7 digits from the telco and
transform that into 4.
e.g.
telco sends 4200
Translastion pattern 4XXX
Called Party Transfrom mask XXX

im doing a site that want to use 3 dig ext. and the carrier are sending
4 dig for our DID....
Ive already conf the CM with 3 dig. What can I do at this point
