[cisco-voip] AXL (or SNMP) for realtime statistics

Actually, Since MRTG is mostly Perl, it is possible to modify to poll at
any interval you'd like.

We use WMI scripts to graph Call Manager data such as Active
calls, VM ports, PRI/DS0 usage etc... This is done at 1 minute intervals
using MRTG with RRDTool on the back end, which is not "real-time", but I
believe Cricket can poll at less than 1 minute intervals.

Any way to interface with this? Documentation again points to
SNMP but the CCM-MIB doesn't seem to include the good stuff.

The Cisco Real-Time Information Server (RIS) data
collector is how some of the information that you are trying to get is
obtained. Some is pulled from "memory", like unregistered phones.

Subject: [cisco-voip] AXL (or SNMP) for realtime
statistics

So I thought I read somewhere that I could use AXL to
get real-time
CallManager statistics (# calls in progress, CTI port
usage,
		registered/unregistered phones...). I'm using CCM
4.1(2) and looking at the
AXL schema for that version. I can't find anything
about real-time
statistics. Is it available in this version of CM? If
so, has anyone used
		AXL for real-time stats?

I'm wanting to get real-time data in a format other than
the RTMT. My plan
is to fetch and graph using RRDtool (Cricket). I've
been investigating two
different options: AXL and SNMP. SNMP is preferred but
I don't believe the
CallManager MIBs have real-time statistical data (why
not?).

I am thinking that these are obvious data that should be
exported and I am
simply reading the wrong docs / looking in the wrong
places. Help?

PS: I have found that I can get reg/unreg phones but I'm
much more
interested in call-in-progress data, VM ports in use,
etc.
