[cisco-voip] 7815--RAID?

Most of the low-end servers that do SATA-RAID are using the Silicon
Image raid chip and it only supports RAID 0 & 1. You'd probably be
better off using software raid 1 provided with Windows 2000 Server. Now
that modern SATA drives support NCQ (Native Command Queuing), the
performance gap between an intelligent raid controller and software raid
setup is much more narrow.

RAID is an optional feature on the IBM server, I would think it
might be optional on the HP version as well.

Try looking in BIOS. A number of the HP servers that do SATA are
enabled in BIOS.

Hello all!
Ok, I have been told that the 7815 can do SATA RAID on
the MB..
But ya know how that goes right? Has anyone done it?
Anyone got a doc or a link on it?
Tks,
J
