Yes, you will need to configure a CTI RP pattern that will intercept
all manager phones. If this overlaps with other phones that is fine
and does not cause any issues. Guess the only issue it could cause is
added call processing for each call which could have an affect on
performance with a high volume of calls.

Does anyone have experience with IPMA in a centralised call
manager environment with remote branches. What I want to do is set up
IPM for managers at an HQ. Let say all their DNs, primary and private
etc fall into the range 65xx, 66xx and 68xx. The mode I am interested
in is proxy mode. This looks a bit tricky but will manage. The problem
comes in for a couple of managers on the same server at remote sites
wher they might have extensions of 3xxx, 41xx, 52xx etc.
I am a bit confused but the statements from the IPMA guide
below where it looks like one can have only on routepoint and that
routepoint must include all managers DNs - see below
One can use wildcards but how wide can one make it to catch
all the DNs for managers. Won't it be bad if the routepoint dn is
something like: [2-7]xxx etc to catch all the DNs I need to catch
with the RP. Any advice will be appreciated.
-------- FROM Fearures and services guide CCM 4-1-3
---------------------------------------------
Create a route point that is called IPMA_RP.
* Configure the directory numbers of the route point to match
the primary and
private directory numbers of the managers (for example, for
managers whose
primary directory numbers are 1000-1999, create a route point
DN as 1xxx
for line 1; for managers whose primary directory numbers are
2000-2999,
create a route point DN as 2xxx for line 2). Configure the
directory numbers
in the Cisco IPMA partition with a calling search space of
CSS-M-E.
