>From what I can gather and have implemented myself, the only way possible
with a non AS5x00 platform to receive ani is to use feature group d. The
carrier (Sprint) is saying they will have to charge the customer to use
fgd.

Sprint wants to send the ani/dnis in the format of, *3105551234*5413011*
(ani * dnis). This is only supported on the AS5x00 to receive the
ani/dnis in this format.

I am getting conflicting reports from a Cisco SE that says an ISR router
can receive ANI in the format above without configuring FGD. Am I missing
something here? Is there a .tcl script that can accomplish this on a non
AS5x00?

Reference Bug ID (CSCef51564):
Externally found enhancement defect: New (N)

CT1 CAS ANI/DNIS Delimiter feature support for non-AS5XXX platforms

---------------
Symptoms:
---------------

The "ANI/DNIS Delimiter for CAS Calls on CT1" feature introduced in IOS
12.1(2)T for the AS5XXX voice gateways is not available on other voice
platforms capable of supporting T1 CAS voice.

---------------
Conditions:
---------------

This feature is not available on any non-AS5XXX voice gateways which is
capable of T1 CAS voice. The feature was originally written for the
AS5XXX voice platforms and has never been ported to any other voice
gateway family.

---------------
Workaround:
---------------

It will be necessary to us an AS5XXX voice gateway to support this feature
if ANI and DNIS are to be delivered on T1 E&M FGB (wink-start) CAS trunks
as a single DTMF digit sequence where the two fields are delimited by
special characters such as '*
