If I only had one VG200, could I just purchase a VWIC-2MFT-T1 (2-port T1
VWIC) and use a crossover cable between the two ports to simulate a
telco along with using the commands you mentioned below?
My goal is to just use one VG200 instead of two VG200s in my lab.

Hi Stu,
Yes, configuring back to back PRI like this makes a perfect PSTN
simulator. With the VG200 you can use the CCM to terminate the PSTN
calls. Just add one or more IP Phones that will be your PSTN phones to
the CCM. Place them in a new partition. Add the VG200 as an H.323 GW
(you could use MGCP) and give it a CSS that contains only the new PSTN
partition. This way you can make either inbound or outbound PSTN
calls.
This configuration works will but one thing to note is that you will
see both the sides of the call setup in the CCM traces. Although this
is not a problem it could be confusing :-)
