Just work with your door lock system vendor.  We did and asked for a system
that could call multiple rooms.  I just used a ATA connected to the system
and when the IP Phone rings they hear the person at the door.  I have a sign
above the phone and I made the Line on the ATA say press 9 to open door.
Works slick.
