[cisco-voip] CM 5.0

I am running CCM 5.0.1 on GSX 3.2.0.
The problem I have is I have tried to duplicate the install to write a procedure, and it completes the install with no errors. When I try to boot the newly installed system, it freaks out at GRUB and gives me an error. I have looked up the error code and it describes a problem loading the partition with GRUB. There seems to be no “repair” type of option.
I have successfully installed 5.0.1 on vmware Workstation 5.5.latestversion many times. Unfortunately the install fails when I try to make a new legacy vm that I can move to GSX.
I have a feeling that when this is released to “public” it will be so cranked down, it will be hard to install in vmware without some tweaking.
I have not tried to upgrade a 5.0.1 running in vmware with the downloadable files from cco.

Timothy,
please give us the exact CCM version you have?
I have tried to run 5.0.2 on VMWARE GSX and Workstation and I have failed both times with the same code:
something like "Not supported hardware..."
also, some procedure will be highly appreciated :)
Thanks,
Goran

I have it running on vmware GSX server 3.2.0. Works well. I troubles getting the installer to not freak out. You have to be real specific and emulate a red hat enterprise server 3. When I selected RHES 4, the installer would hang.

Has anyone had the opportunity to get CM 5.x running on non-cisco servers? I’m thinking I would really like to put it in a lab environment.
