[cisco-voip] OT: Booting Multiple IOS on 3745?

I have found the same issue on my Cat6509.  even with the sup's trying
to boot from the same image.

This is partially off topic I guess, the 3745 is being used as a voice
gateway so it is kinda voice related.  :-)

Here is the issue, I have one IOS on the 3745 flash, and another on the
slot0: card.

I have the following config to load the IOS off of the slot0: card: 

boot-start-marker
boot system slot0:c3745-advipservicesk9-mz.124-3f.bin
boot system flash:c3745-ipbase-mz.123-9a.bin
boot-end-marker

With card in slot0: it boots fine with the image I want.

However with the card not in the slot, it just hangs at rommon.

I thought, that it would fail over to the IOS on the second line in
flash if it could not find the one in slot0 ?

I know you can have it boot from a second IOS if there is a problem with
the first, but maybe only if they reside in the same location?
