I have not used this adapter personally, but it was referred by someone
who has used them with Cisco IP phones in the same situation you
describe.

It's a lot cheaper than a new 7970!

We had an employee like that...... we got her a 7970 phone and she got a
hearing aid to 1/8" jack and plugged it into the external speaker jack
on the phone and then just used the speaker phone mic. Seems to work
pretty well for the user.

PS. To bad not all the 79xx have the external jacks.

Hi

I have a customer who recently implemented a CCM cluster. They have an
employee who is hard of hearing and they had some sort of special
headset or handset connected to the previous phoneset that apparently
does not work on the new Cisco IP phone. I've asked for the make/model
so I can see what kind of device it is but in the mean time I thought
I'd ask if anyone could recommend such a device that works with Cisco
Phones.

Thanks
