[cisco-voip] SRST transfer user 4 digits to an 11 digitextension

The POTS dial-peer would need a destination if you want to use it as
an outbound dial-peer (which you do). Your goal here it to allow
people in SRST mode to dial 4 digits and route via the PSTN to other
sites correct?

Thanks! Does a POTS dial peer need a destination like a Voice port or a
IP address or can it just be used to route calls "internal" to the
router?

I haven't played with the transfer-pattern config too much so I'm not

sure what affect that would have on this behavior.

Have you tried applying the translation-profile to a pots dial-peer
with a destination-pattern of 2...$?

How about running a 'debug voice translation' to see if it's getting
applied?

We use 11 digit extensions at our site and would like to be able to
transfer using 4 digits when in SRST mode just as can be done when not
in SRST. Transfer works fine to an the actual 11 digit extension but
we
have not been able to figure out how to allow a 4 digit transfer. Here
is the SRST config:

call-manager-fallback
   max-conferences 4 gain -6
   transfer-system full-blind
   ip source-address 10.120.224.1 port 2000 strict-match
   max-ephones 40
   max-dn 80 dual-line
   transfer-pattern 1716849....
   transfer-pattern 2...
   voicemail 914103476301
   translation-profile incoming 2
   translation-profile outgoing 2
   call-forward busy 17168492502
   call-forward noan 17168492501 timeout 16
   time-zone 12

and the associated translation

voice translation-rule 2
   rule 1 /^\(2...\)$/ /1716849\1/

voice translation-profile 2
   translate calling 2
   translate called 2

The translation rule is good because inbound 4 digit DID works when in
SRST, any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!
