By using DiRT it will restore the entire Unity configuration. If you are also using the backup utility for backing up the voicemail mailbox's then it will restore them also. You cannot restore an individual person by using the utilities.

However if you are using the backup utility then it will create a .PST file for every mailbox. Create the person back in Unity as if you were creating a new user.
Then use Outlook on another computer to open the individuals email/mailbox and then import the PST for that user.

Just a thought. Of course the settings for that person as far as conversation, notification, etc.. will have to be put back manually.

Subject: [cisco-voip] Assistance with restoring a unity 3.1 voicemail account

Does anyone have any guidance on restoring messages for a single unity
voicemail account fro unity 3.1? The account was removed from the system
accidentally. I do have a system backup using DIRT but I have never
restored from it before and wasn't sure if I could simply select a single
voicemail to restore or if it would restore everyone's account and
messages.
