[cisco-voip] Unassigned Directory Numbers

A directory number is a combination of the number and partition.  If you
have a number in partition x assigned to phone A and the same number in
partition y showing up as an unassigned DN then deleting the unassigned DN
will have no impact on phone A whatsoever.

What about numbers that show up in the route plan report for Unassigned DN
but are actually in use and assigned to a different partition?

This feature was added in 4.0, a few customers did not want the DN's to be
deleted from the system after they were removed from the phones. If there is
no use for these DN's please feel free to delete them.

We seem to have a large amount of Unassigned DN on our call manager, is it
best practice to delete these from the system or will they not cause us any
