[cisco-voip] Call Manager 4.3 & Win 2003 Upgrade experiences ?

You'll definitely want to back up your data first since the upgrade to
Win2k3 is a re-image of the box. Once the OS is installed and SR
applied you install BARS then run the CUCM installer. The dialogs will
prompt for a backup file and restore the data as part of the install.

So, wait, how did this work?

You upgrade to Win2K3 first, or you backup 4.2 and then blow it away,
install Win2K3 and then what?

I've upgraded a lab CCM 4.2 to 4.3 and it worked as advertised.
The process reminded me a little bit of the CCM 3.2 to 3.3 upgrade since
the OS has to be re-imaged and data (BARS backup) imported during the
install. What I like most about it is that it's the perfect opportunity
to produce a clean OS, cruft-free.
