[cisco-voip] Phone Firmware issues

Yes, we had this issue when we tried to send an audio message to PCs
some 10 miles away from our core. The fix was to put a server at that
city. Now we activate the server in one city (core), which in turn
calls the other server in the other city to send out the message. It
works like a champ.
One solution that I heard from the Berbee user is that they send out the
message a number of times, which solved the same problem for them.

Subject: [cisco-voip] Phone Firmware issues
Anyone using broadcast paging software? Like Berbee / IPcelerate /
citrix / etc that uses Multi-cast?
Is anyone else seeing issues with broadcasting? It looks like a
Firmware on the phone issue as when I back down, I no longer have a
problem.
The problem I'm seeing is that phones get Text <1\2 second but the RTP
stream takes >5 seconds to play.(I'm missing the first 5 seconds of
audio).
I don't see any bug ID's but the 3rd party vendor is saying it's a cisco
firmware issue and I need to open a TAC case. They are going through
the Traces to clean them up for TAC.
Thanks
Scott
